On 23 February 2024, Anna-Liesa Filbert (UMC-Mainz) presented ‘The Survivorship Passport – Steps towards German implementation of an EU-harmonized tool to strengthen patient empowerment and evidence-based, people-centred follow-up care for cancer survivors’ at the 36 Deutscher Krebskongress (DKK). Held every two years, this meeting is where oncology experts from hospitals and practices in Germany gather to discuss current research results. The DKK attracts over 10,000 participants who use the time for an intensive exchange about advances in cancer medicine.
