PanCareSurPass Coordinator Dr. Desire Grabow (UMC-Mainz) presented PanCareSurPass at the 9th ERN PaedCan General Assembly meeting on 09 Feb 2022. CCI Europe’s Anita Kienesberger also joined the meeting to present her organisation’s views on the outlook for survivors in Europe.
‘European Reference Networks’ (ERNs) are a European Union initiative to facilitate cooperation across national health systems for the benefit patients. The ERN PaedCan is tackling ‘inequalities in childhood cancer survival by providing high-quality, accessible and cost-effective cross-border healthcare to children and adolescents with cancer, regardless of where they live.’
European wide implementation of the SurPass, driven by projects like PanCareSurPass, supports this mission by providing a digital tool to support high-quality person-centred care for survivors of childhood and adolescent cancer in the long-term.
Many PanCareSurPass partners are also involved in the ERN PaedCan, which is coordinated by CCRI. Stakeholder representatives from SIOP Europe and CCI Europe play key roles and many of our clinics are network members (KU Leuven/UZ Leuven, IGG, VULSK, HULAFE).
