On 16 June 2022, Research Manager Riccardo Haupt (IGG) presented PanCareSurPass the the HIMSS European Health Conference & Exhibition 2022. In the ‘Setting European Hospitals on FHIR’ session, Riccardo shared his perspective on FHIR as a hospital professional, sharing his experience with using FHIR and why it matters in the long run for European healthcare. Catherine Chronaki (HL7 Europe), who leads the activities with CINECA to deliver SurPass v2.0 in the project, also presented at the session as a FHIR subject matter expert, presenting FHIR as an interoperability standard for electronic exchange of healthcare information.
